What is the Weight Loss IV Drip?
The Weight Loss IV Drip is one of the IV drip therapies offered at Charisma. Like other IV drips, it is given through a small cannula into a vein under medical supervision.
What is in the drip?
The formula includes lipotropic active ingredients together with electrolytes and nutrients. “Lipotropic” is a biochemical term for substances, such as choline and methionine, that help the liver process and export fat.
Your doctor will explain exactly what your infusion contains and why before any treatment.
Who is it for?
The drip may be considered for adults who are already following a doctor-supervised weight management plan and whom the doctor judges suitable after reviewing their health history, current medications and assessment results. It is not suitable for everyone, and the doctor may recommend a different approach.
The Charisma approach
- Clinical assessment first. Every weight management programme includes a complimentary clinical assessment that uses diagnostic technology to look at metabolic and biological indicators. The current page values this assessment at AED 1,500.
- Looking for contributing factors. Before recommending a programme, Charisma’s doctors look at factors that can make weight management harder, such as hormonal, metabolic or nutritional factors.
- Personalised plan. Your assessment results shape the plan, including whether an IV drip is part of it at all.
- Doctors and nurses, not general staff. Care is delivered by doctors and nurses, with clinical oversight throughout.
- Private setting. Treatments take place in a wellness environment designed for comfort and privacy.

What happens on the day
- Consultation and review of your assessment, health history and medications.
- If the drip is recommended, a nurse places the cannula and the infusion runs while you are seated and monitored.
- The cannula is removed and you receive aftercare advice.
How often is it given?
There is no fixed schedule. Based on your assessment findings, the doctor may suggest a single session or a package of sessions within a broader plan, with regular reassessment.
Safety and suitability
Treatments are administered under the supervision of licensed doctors and nurses, and your medical team reviews your health history and current status before starting. As with any IV procedure, local effects such as bruising, discomfort or irritation of the vein at the cannula site can occur; infection at the site is uncommon but possible, and too high a dose of some vitamins can be harmful. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver conditions, take regular medication or have allergies.

Sessions start from AED 1,072.50 per session on a 5-session package. A single session is AED 1,402.50, and a 2-session package is AED 1,237.50 per session. An additional 5% VAT applies. Your final price depends on the plan your doctor recommends.
