Low Testosterone & Hormonal Imbalance Treatment in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Low testosterone can cause fatigue, low libido, erectile problems, weight gain, loss of muscle and low mood. When blood tests confirm low levels and symptoms match, treatment can make a real difference. At Charisma, testosterone therapy is started only after a full assessment and is monitored closely.

Why Choose Charisma for Low Testosterone

  • Full hormone testing — not just a single testosterone reading.
  • Cause-first approach — weight, sleep, thyroid and pituitary causes considered.
  • Treatment choice — injections, gels and fertility-preserving options.
  • Safety monitoring — haematocrit, PSA and other markers.
  • Confidential care.

What Is Low Testosterone (Hypogonadism)?

Hypogonadism means the body does not make enough testosterone. In primary hypogonadism the testes produce too little; in secondary hypogonadism the brain (hypothalamus or pituitary) does not send enough signal. Testosterone also declines gradually with age, and obesity, diabetes, poor sleep and some medicines lower it further.

Symptoms

  • Low libido and erectile difficulties.
  • Fatigue and reduced motivation.
  • Loss of muscle and increased body fat.
  • Low mood, irritability and poor concentration.
  • Poor sleep.
  • Reduced bone density.

Normal Testosterone Levels

Total testosterone in adult men is commonly around 300 to 1,000 ng/dL (about 10 to 35 nmol/L), with laboratory ranges varying slightly. Levels are measured in the morning and repeated before diagnosis, together with free testosterone and SHBG.

Diagnosis

  • Two morning blood tests — total and free testosterone.
  • LH, FSH and prolactin — to find the cause.
  • Thyroid, glucose, lipids and blood count.
  • PSA — prostate check before treatment.

Treatment Options

Lifestyle and Underlying Causes

Weight loss, better sleep, treating sleep apnoea, controlling diabetes and reviewing medicines can raise testosterone in some men.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

  • Injections — short-acting weekly or long-acting every 10 to 14 weeks.
  • Gels — applied daily to the skin.
  • Pellets or patches — less common options.

TRT and Fertility

TRT can lower sperm production. Men who want children now or soon may be offered treatments that stimulate the body’s own testosterone production instead, such as hCG or other fertility-sparing medicines, under specialist care.

Side Effects and Monitoring

  • Higher red blood cell count — checked with haematocrit.
  • Acne and oily skin.
  • Breast tenderness — related to estradiol levels.
  • Prostate monitoring — PSA checks.

Patients are reviewed at about 3 months and then every 6 to 12 months.

Natural vs Medical Ways to Raise Testosterone

Strength training, healthy weight, 7 to 8 hours of sleep, enough vitamin D and zinc, and less alcohol can help. Over-the-counter “testosterone boosters” have little evidence and can contain undeclared ingredients. Medical treatment is for confirmed deficiency.
